Breakfast at Le Coucou, New York City, Best Brunch

Emily and I both love brunch. And there is no better place than NYC for brunch enthusiasts like us. We started each day in the city with an amazing breakfast or brunch, becuase, you know, it is the most important meal of the day. Emily knows all of the best places to eat in New York, as any good foodie would. Each place she took me was better than the last.

Cafè Henrie
Ok, I will admit that Cafè Henrie was on my radar not for the food, but for the pink decor. I was, however, equally impressed with the food. The egg sandwich was both different and delicious (it was more of a cold egg salad with pickled fennel, yum!). For a chuckle, make sure you take a good look at the neon sign next to the bathroom before you leave.

Two Hands (Resturant and Bar)
Four words - Espresso marscapone banana bread. It is drizzled with honey and encrusted in pecans. It was life affirming. This Australian-run and delightfully-blue restaurant offers simple yet innovative and nutritious food. I highly suggest making reservations, it is very popular, for good reason.

Le Coucou
This gorgeous and quirky restaurant boasts contemporary French cuisine for breakfast, brunch, and dinner (and lunch coming soon). The decor is stunning and it is definitely a great place to celebrate a special occasion, or just enjoy being fancy.

The Egg Shop
As the name hints, The Egg Shop focuses on serving delicious eggs, around the clock! The egg sandwiches are amazing, and so are the homemade biscuits! They don't take reservations, so get there early.

Sarabeth's
Sarabeth's is a NYC classic and for good reason. They serve fresh and delicious contemporary American fare. Their location just off Central Park South is my favorite. It makes it so easy to stroll off a huge brunch or head to the nearby Met. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict and avocado toast.
